Win Free Tix to Santa Monica Pier Aquarium for Underwater Parks Day

In celebration of Underwater Parks Day, Saturday Jan. 15, Free Fun LA has teamed up with Heal the Bay’s Santa Monica Pier Aquarium to give away free aquarium tickets for a family of four. Plus a cool bag of goodies detailed below.

The marine science center at 1600 Ocean Front Walk – beach level just beneath the Santa Monica Pier’s historic carousel – will have special presentations and activities on Saturday to highlight SoCal’s Marine Protected Areas, the focus of Underwater Parks Day. Visit the aquarium 12:30 – 5pm Jan. 15 for fun sea creature crafts and to learn creative ways to help save the world’s oceans.

Now for the giveaway: Win admission for a family of four plus a reusable shopping bag stocked with a kids activity guide, tokens for rides on the pier carousel, Heal the Bay stickers, marine-themed temporary tattoos, and a Heal the Bay beanie.

How do you win? Leave a comment here about how what you do to keep our oceans and other water ways clean and safe. Tweet a shout out to #HealtheBay to @FreeFunLA, or write your tweet on our Facebook wall.

We’ll pick the winner using random.org. Contest ends at noon Friday. Winner can pick up their free tix and Heal the Bay goodie bag at the aquarium ticket office.

I will not dump harmful chemicals down the sewer drains and make sure to recycle as much as possible so no bad materials enter our ocean.

Whenever I get together at the beach with friends or family, I am always the last one to leave and make sure that everyone has picked up after themselves, and that recyclables make it in the proper receptacles.

My favorite place in the entire world is the beach. I grew up next to the beach, and I have always felt better when around it. Everytime I go to the beach I always like to walk around and clean up, even if its not my trash. I encourage my family and younger siblings to clean up. By setting an example to younger generations, I believe we can successfully raise awareness in the pollution of our planet and everything inside.

  • Erika

I do use environmentally friendly detergent and do not use bleach when I wash my clothes.

I’m happy to say that I’m a big supporter of Heal the Bay. Also the new MLPA’s are hopefully going to help fish populations. Good thing to celebrate!

  • Jeff

I help prevent oceans and water ways from being polluted by making sure all my disposable items make to the trash can and don’t end up on the street.

    Don’t litter!

Had a fabulous time at the Santa Monica Aquarium and Pier with the family on Saturday! The weather was beautiful and our 6 year old couldn’t enough of the animals and carousel ride. Thank you so much for the tickets! :)
