Free LEGO Workshop for Kids in Glendale Today!

Free LEGO Workshop for Kids in Glendale Today!

The Glendale LEGO store is having a surprise free mini-build workshop for kids today,  July 30.  The extra summer fun workshop features a LEGO model that looks like an outdoor BBQ grill.

Kids ages 6 to 14 are invited to participate in the free workshop that starts at 5p.m. Warning: The mini-build workshops are so popular that sign-ups start 2 hours ahead of time!  At 3 p.m. the LEGO store will hand out cards stamped with a time on them. A limited number of kids will be allowed in every 15 minutes and you must come back at the time on your card. Each store has a limited supply of mini-build kits, about 150 of them.

Other Southern California LEGO stores participating include South Coast Plaza, Disneyland Resort, Ontario Mills, The Shops Mission Viejo and Fashion Valley.

While the mini-build kits are not available for sale, kids can  download the instructions on how to build each mini model for free on the LEGO website. So if you can’t make it to Tuesday’s free workshop, or if you get there too late or if there is no LEGO store nearby you’ll be able re-create the mini-build model with your LEGO bricks at home. Right now the site has all the instructions from all the 2013 workshops available.

More free fun: Download the Free monthly LEGO store calendar. Each calendar comes with fun ideas, a list of the store’s events and coupons!
