Head to the free family-friendly beautiful Downtown Burbank ARTS Festival this weekend, April 24 – 25 and support art education!
Featuring 100+ contemporary and emerging artists, interactive fun and nonstop live entertainment the free ARTS Festival features a block devoted to the Burbank Arts Education Foundation with 20 booths devoted to art activities for kids.
Located on Orange Grove Avenue between 1st and 3rd Streets, the BAEF block includes the Burbank Music Academy, where kids can play musical instruments. Got an old band or string instrument at home? Donate it to Instrument Amnesty and give the gift of music to a student.

Come prepared for the kids to get messy with art. Paint with chalk on the street at the Chalk Yard, get creative with Model Magic Clay in the Crayola Art Zone, learn how to sculpt at Make-Up Designory (MUD) booth.
Kids of all ages can fold paper into unique hats at the Crazy Hat Creation Station, aspiring filmmakers can collaborate on mini-movies at the Freshi Films booth or post on the spot creations on the a 5’ by 20’ Art Wall.
Wait! There’s more! Experiment with recycled art courtesy of the Burbank Senior Artist Colony and the Burroughs High School Environmental Club, build an artistic architectural project with guidance from Woodbury University or just find your way to the Main Stage featuring music, dance and theatrical performances all weekend presented by Burbank Unified School District students.
While the fest is free, look for opportunities to engage in support arts education in public schools and help them not only to survive but to thrive!
