Downtown Film Festival L.A. begins tomorrow, July 10 – July 18 and we’ve got the skinny on FREE flicks plus ticket giveaways to two films!

More than 100 independent features, documentaries and shorts will be shown at various locales, including the Downtown Independent, the AT&T Center Theater and the Grammy Museum Clive Davis Theater. Many have ticket prices ranging from $11 up to $20 for the opener, the U.S. premiere of Ron Chapman’s “Who the *** is Arthur Fogel?,” a documentary biopic about the creative force behind the worldwide concert tours of Madonna, U2 and Lady Gaga.

But free fun lovers, fear not! There are several films that require a simple RSVP and no money down. How do you find them?  ………….

It’s that frightfully spooky time of year when evil marks the month, at least in the Free Friday Night Fright Flicks at Pershing Square. Shows begin at 8pm. Bring a lawn chair, a blanket and pack of picnic worthy of an insatiable hunger for flesh. Oh, sorry, that’s for the zombie apocalypse.
